Energy is managed when the reading and the decision live together.
I have audited energy management systems and seen reports that do not reconcile to the meter. I want Adqueo Energía to hold consultancy to the same standard: one magnitude, one baseline, and a result someone can sign.
Keep electricity, steam, water, air, and cooling apart so a cost is not invented by adding different units.
Require a baseline, a method, and a reviewer before a saving is called verified.
Keep the improvement file — investment, assumption, evidence — in the same place as the reading.

Measurement
Every reading says where it comes from.
Metered, estimated, or missing: each meter states it, along with the instrument behind it — a power analyzer, a billing meter, or a pulse. Real data never gets mistaken for a guess.
Loss
Losses don't always show up on the bill.
A hot motor or a steam leak is found on the floor and with thermography, not in the incoming total. Finding them is the first step; the saving stays estimated until there is a method, a reviewer, and evidence.

Meters and data quality
Main meters, submeters, estimated days, and a correction that keeps the original reading.
Utility balances
Electricity, steam, water, air, cooling — each in its unit. They are never added together.
Baselines
A linear model against production, with R², exclusions, and a technical review before it is approved.
Opportunity board
Investment, estimated annual saving, and simple payback — still labeled estimated until verified.
M&V agreements
Method, boundary, and reviewer before execution. Calculated is not verified.
Energy management map
Owners and evidence for the EnMS. It is not a certificate.
Sensors and instruments
The tree is fed by a named instrument. There is no generic SCADA connector: API, CSV, or register, depending on the plant.
Power analyzer
Active energy, demand, THD. Modbus or a campaign download — the instrument that closes the electrical single-line.
Pulse SO / billing meter
The incoming total. Without it the tree does not close, however many submeters you add.
4–20 mA, vortex, orifice
Steam, water, air: each in its unit. A milliamp is never added to a kWh.
Thermography
A campaign, not a continuous meter. It finds the hot spot; it does not invent a verified saving.
Public good
The methodology is open.
The software is the product; the method to prove a saving is public and reproducible. Anyone can audit how a consumption became a saving.

Each point marks its instrument: metered, estimated, or missing. Without one, the number doesn't hold up.

A model against production, with R² and documented exclusions. The reference can be reproduced.

Reviewer
Method, boundary, and adjustments agreed before execution. A second pair of eyes signs.

Evidence
The calculation keeps its data and its review. Calculated is not verified until this step.
A saving that cannot be reproduced is not a saving. That is why the method is not locked away: it is documented, auditable, and outlives the tool and the vendor.
